Seattle Salsa Congress Volunteer Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteer opportunities at this year’s Seattle Salsa Congress. The Seattle Salsa Congress will rely heavily on our volunteers to make the congress possible. It is only through the generosity of its hard working volunteers that we can provide the highest quality experience for our attendees. Your help is what turns our congress from just an idea into a enjoyable experience for everyone.

Each volunteer position offers its own unique rewards. Volunteering at Seattle Salsa Congress is an opportunity to meet people who share your love of salsa dancing, the arts, community service, close work with dedicated professionals, and teamwork all while enjoying great music and dance. Volunteers will have to make a minimum commitment of hours to receive benefits.

Volunteer Positions

Volunteering is a great opportunity for individuals who want a limited time commitment and would like additional savings while enjoying the congress. These exciting opportunities are as follows:

Facility Engineer (2 Openings):

• Description: Setup & teardown of floor, sound, lighting and all supporting equipment
• Schedule: Wed (6hrs) 4:00pm to 10:00pm; Sun (6hrs) 12:00am to 6:00am
• Benefits: All 3 night pass.

Front Desk Daytime (4 Openings):

• Description: Manage attendees, wristbands, schedules, surveys and supporting documents
• Schedule: Fri & Sat (8hrs) 9:00am to 6:00pm; Fri & Sun (8hrs) 9:00am to 6:00pm
• Benefits: Day pass and All 3 night pass.

Front Desk Evening (4 Openings):

• Description: Manage performers, guest, security, schedules, emails, surveys etc etc
• Schedule: Fri, & Sat (7hrs) 8:00pm to 3:00am; Sat & Sun (7hrs) 8:00pm to 3:00am
• Benefits: Day pass and All 3 day workshop pass.

Ballroom Officer (2 Openings):

• Description: Manage instructors, attendees, schedules, play music, surveys etc etc
• Schedule: Fri, Sat & Sun (8hrs) 9:30am to 6:30pm
• Benefits: All 3 night pass plus hotel for two nights double ocupancy.

Security Officer Daytime (3 Openings):

• Description: Control doors, attendees, performers, and coordinate with hotel security
• Schedule: Fri, Sat & Sun (8hrs) 9:30am to 6:30pm
• Benefits: All 3 night pass plus hotel for two nights double ocupancy.

Security Officer Nightime (4 Openings):

• Description: Control doors, attendees, performers, and coordinate with hotel security
• Schedule: Fri, Sat & Sun (8hrs) 8:00pm to 4:00am
• Benefits: All 3 workshop pass plus hotel for three nights double ocupancy.

Event Driver (2 Openings):

• Description: Drive attendees, performers, from hotel to the welcome party and back.
• Required: Must own or rent a van (7+passengers), have a cell phone, & provide own gas.
• Schedule: Thursday (8hrs) 9:00pm to 5:00am
• Benefits: Bootcamp pass or All Access pass.
